Sonamarg – The Meadow of Gold

Sonamarg, meaning “Meadow of Gold,” is one of the most breathtaking high-altitude destinations in Kashmir. Located about 80 km from Srinagar on the route to Ladakh, Sonamarg sits at an elevation of around 2,800 meters and is surrounded by majestic glaciers, snow-covered peaks, and vast alpine meadows.

True to its name, Sonamarg glows in summer with golden-hued grasslands framed by dramatic mountains. The Sindh River flows gracefully through the valley, enhancing its raw and untouched beauty.
